Route

How does the day work?

You meet the marked Islandview boat at Haleiwa before heading offshore for a shark snorkel with a safety diver.

  1. 15 min
    1. Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor

Your boat has Islandview Hawaii on its side. The crew meets you here before heading offshore for the shark swim.

The 90 to 120-minute outing includes roughly 30 minutes snorkeling with sharks. Your boat returns to the same Haleiwa Harbor dock.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Dock location: Your boat waits beside the launch ramp on the left side of the harbor. The loading dock is the meeting area.
  • Arrival and parking: Arrive at the boat 15 minutes before your tour starts. Free parking is available by the dock.
  • Before arrival: Your booking instructions include a waiver to complete before the trip. The crew also needs contact details to reach you if the departure changes.
  • Hotel transfer: You need to arrange your own journey to Haleiwa Harbor. A ride from your hotel isn't part of the tour.

Before you book

  • A solo booking doesn't secure a departure. The trip needs at least 3 guests.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

The 7 a.m. start suits swimmers planning an early North Shore day. You get roughly 30 minutes in the water. You don't need to buy photos separately. The trip needs 3 guests to run, so a solo booking depends on other people joining.

For a 2-guest departure minimum, Islandview's other shark swim costs from $150 per person. Hawaii Adventure's shared swim plans roughly 45 minutes in the water from $161.57 per person.

Means: Pick 7 a.m. when you want Islandview's early start and can accept the 3-guest departure minimum.

Who it's not for

  • Children younger than 5
  • Guests bringing personal underwater cameras
  • Swimmers seeking a cage around them

Before boarding

Wear your swimsuit to the harbor and apply sunscreen before boarding. Your snorkeling equipment is supplied. Personal underwater cameras aren't allowed, with photos and video included for your group instead.

Changes and waiver

Weather can disrupt your chosen departure. Islandview needs your contact details to reach you about any change. The waiver must be completed before you arrive at the launch ramp.

Minimum passengers

At least 3 guests must be booked across the departure for it to run. You can reserve a solo place. If numbers fall short, Islandview offers an alternative or a full refund.

Free dock parking

The left side of Haleiwa Harbor has the launch ramp and loading dock used for meeting. Parking near the dock is free. Your group needs to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled boat time.
