Dive Oahu takes certified divers to a south shore wreck followed by a shallow reef off Honolulu. The trip uses two tanks. Your 3-hour outing costs from $248.81 per person. You meet at the Kewalo Basin retail store for daily departures at 7 or 11 a.m. It's a shorter wreck outing than Waikiki Dive Center's trips while still giving you a second dive at a reef.

The day
How does the day work?
A deep wreck dive comes first, followed by a surface break and a shallower reef dive before the harbor return.
- 1
Shop and gear fitting
Your harbor visit begins with waivers and equipment fitting at Dive Oahu. Certification is checked before boarding, so it needs to be available there.
- 2
Boat to the wreck
The boat carries you to a south shore wreck for the first guided dive. Sea Tiger and YO-257 are possible sites for this outing.
- 3
Surface interval
You spend the interval between dives back aboard the boat. Snacks and refreshments are available as part of the trip between the two sites.
- 4
Shallow reef dive
The second guided dive explores a shallower reef off Honolulu. It's a different site from the wreck, with another chance to see reef life.
- 5
Return to shore
After the reef dive the boat takes the group back to Kewalo Basin. You leave from the harbor where the trip began.
The two dives fit within a 3-hour outing that includes boat travel and the surface interval. A particular wreck isn't guaranteed. The trip finishes at Kewalo Basin.
Pickup and meeting point
- Harbor shop: Dive Oahu's retail store is in front of the boats at Kewalo Basin Harbor. The harbor address is 1085 Ala Moana Boulevard.
- Arrival and paperwork: Arrive 30 minutes early for the waivers and gear fitting. Your certification and weight are required before you can join the boat dive.
- Transport and parking: You arrange your own trip to the harbor. Parking is paid separately, and the price doesn't cover a ride from your hotel.
- Personal items: Bring swimwear and a towel for the boat outing. The scuba equipment is supplied, so you don't need to arrive with your own full set.
Before you book
- Bring proof of your dive certification for boarding. A booking alone doesn't qualify you for the wreck dive.
Fit
Is this tour right for you?
The 3-hour schedule suits certified divers who want two sites and time left for other plans. You must already know how to swim. This isn't an introductory dive. Your certification needs to be ready for boarding, with 24 hours between diving and a flight.
Waikiki Dive Center's early wreck trip suits advanced divers with 5 hours available, from $292.41 per person. If you haven't earned certification, Dive Oahu's introductory reef trip costs from $270.36 per adult and starts with individual skills instruction.
Who it's not for
- Divers without proof of certification
- Anyone unable to swim
- Travelers flying within 24 hours after diving
- Pregnant travelers
Good to know
Know before you go
Certification from PADI or another approved course is required before boarding. You also need swimming ability and good health. Your paid reservation doesn't replace proof of training for the deep wreck portion.
Divers must be 15 or older, with proof of certification and good health. Every diver also gives a weight before boarding.
This charter requires a 24-hour gap after diving before you fly. Keep that interval clear in your travel plans. Your return flight needs to work with the dive's finish, not its morning departure.
Your harbor check-in needs 30 minutes for forms and gear fitting. Parking costs extra, with no hotel transfer included. A mobile ticket and your certification should be ready before you reach the shop.
Bookings made through the booking page get a full refund until 24 hours before departure. The shop's own policy asks for 48 hours' notice.
The sea can change the chosen dive sites. A weather cancellation offers another date or a full refund. One booking accepts fifteen travelers, while the wider tour group can reach twenty-one.

Questions
People also ask
- What does Dive Oahu's certified wreck and reef trip cost?
The two-tank outing starts from $248.81 per person. Scuba gear and refreshments are included for the 3-hour trip. Parking and hotel transport remain outside the price, with optional equipment upgrades charged separately.
- Can a beginner join Dive Oahu's certified wreck trip?
No, both dives require existing scuba certification. The 3-hour trip includes a deep wreck followed by a shallow reef. Bring proof of training to check-in, since buying the booking doesn't qualify an uncertified guest.
- Which wreck does Dive Oahu visit on the two-tank trip?
Possible wrecks include Sea Tiger and YO-257. The exact site depends on conditions and isn't guaranteed by the reservation. Your trip also includes a shallower reef dive within the 3-hour overall schedule.
- When does Dive Oahu's certified wreck trip depart?
Departures are at 7 and 11 a.m. daily. You need to reach the harbor shop 30 minutes earlier for preparation. The outing lasts 3 hours, leaving your onward journey from Kewalo Basin outside that time.
- How soon can guests fly after Dive Oahu's wreck dive?
Your flight must leave at least 24 hours after diving. That rule applies even if you choose the early departure. A same-day flight doesn't fit the requirement, so the dive needs a different day in your itinerary.
