How does the day work?
The flight rounds Oahu's eastern coast into the windward valleys before crossing inland toward Pearl Harbor.

Your 45-minute flight returns to HNL, Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Check-in takes place before that flight window. The Castle and Cooke Aviation building is also your finishing point.
Pickup and meeting point
- Getting there: Your ride to 155 Kapalulu Place is separate from the tour. Rainbow's check-in desk is inside the Castle and Cooke Aviation building.
- Check-in: Arrive with your voucher 60 minutes ahead of takeoff. The voucher can be on paper or on your phone.
- Parking: The large lot across the street provides free parking. It's on the left side of Kapalulu Place.
- Open-door preparation: Doors off require closed-toe shoes and a jacket or sweatshirt. You'll also need a hair tie for long hair.

Is this tour right for you?
The 45-minute route fits you if Sacred Falls and the valley cliffs are the main draw. Your party can keep the doors on privately. It doesn't cover Royal Crown's North Shore circuit. The quoted rate is for six paying passengers.
Royal Crown adds the North Shore circuit from $540 per person in a group of 6. For a shorter mountain flight, Path to Pali covers the cliffs in 30 minutes from $440 per person in a group of 6.

Know before you go
A child younger than 2 can travel on your lap in the enclosed cabin. From age 2, a full-price seat is required. The private booking doesn't change that age rule.
An open-door flight requires at least 80 lb in the R44 or 100 lb in the Astar. Doors-off doesn't guarantee a seat beside the open door. Private cabins have the same seating caveat.
The surcharge is 50% of a seat price from 250 lb to under 275 lb. Passengers at 275 lb or above must purchase another seat. Check your party's weights before selecting the cabin.
A jacket or sweatshirt is required for doors off, along with closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be secured with a tie. You can't fly while apparently intoxicated, and refusal on that basis carries the full charge.
Your check-in is 60 minutes ahead of departure at Castle and Cooke Aviation. The lot across the street has free parking. Weather and weight restrictions can change flight timing, so your plans need some slack.
A reservation holds up to 15 travelers with an adult, which doesn't define the aircraft capacity. Rainbow needs every traveler's full name and weight. Your booking also requires a contact number, and the mobile voucher works at check-in.
