Route
How does the day work?
Dolphin Warrior heads offshore for dolphin viewing before lunch and reef snorkeling along west Oahu.
- 60 min
1. Offshore West Oahu
The Zodiac searches offshore for wild dolphins. You can watch from the boat or enter the water when conditions allow, with sightings still uncertain.
- 60 min
2. Waianae Coast
Lunch is served aboard between the dolphin search and the next part of the trip. Your turkey sandwich or veggie wrap comes with chips.
- 60 min
3. Coastline and Reef Snorkel
West Oahu's coastline stays in view as the trip continues. Reef snorkeling gives you another chance to look for turtles and fish when conditions allow.
The 3-hour trip includes the offshore search and snorkeling before returning to Waianae Small Boat Harbor. Your hotel journey adds time on land. A dolphin swim isn't assured.
Pickup and meeting point
- Hotel shuttle: Selected Waikiki and Ko Olina stops have their own pickup times. Waikiki Beach Marriott uses 6 a.m. for the first boat and 10 a.m. for the second.
- Harbor meeting: Drivers meet outside the brown two-story building facing Waianae Small Boat Harbor. Check-in is 30 minutes before departure at 85-491 Farrington Highway.
- Booking instructions: Check your assigned hotel stop and pickup time before travel. Your booking instructions also contain the waiver link.
- Lunch request: A vegetarian wrap needs an advance call to the office. It isn't a meal change to arrange after you board the speedboat.
Before you book
- Choose boat viewing if open water doesn't suit you. The trip still requires moderate fitness.
Fit
Is this tour right for you?
The 3-hour speedboat fits you if you want a shorter Iruka trip with hotel transport. Everyone must be at least 5. Moderate fitness is required even if you don't plan to swim near dolphins. You can watch from aboard instead.
For a slide and more water activities, Iruka's Poseidon costs from $199 per adult for 4 hours. For a six-guest boat, Aloha Ocean costs from $200 per adult if you can arrange your own harbor ride.
Who it's not for
- Children under 5
- Travelers who can't manage moderate physical activity
- Guests who need a guaranteed dolphin encounter
Good to know
Know before you go
Everyone must be at least 5 years old and have moderate fitness. Staying aboard for the dolphin portion doesn't remove those entry requirements. Children ages 5 to 11 need an individual price quote.
Turkey sandwiches are the default lunch. Your change needs to reach Iruka by 8 p.m. HST the evening before departure. A vegetarian request goes through the office, so don't leave it until boarding.
Your snorkel gear is included, while wetsuit rental and photos are optional extras. Complete the online waiver before arrival. You receive a mobile ticket for the shared speedboat tour when you book.
Selected hotel pickups happen before the 7:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. boat departure. The Ala Moana stop is at 5:20 a.m. or 9:15 a.m. Your assigned hotel entrance matters as much as the time.
The selected tour takes up to 19 guests, with 1 to 19 travelers allowed in a booking. An adult is required in your party. Insufficient passenger numbers can still cause a departure to be canceled.
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Later cancellations are nonrefundable under the standard policy. Weather can cancel the trip, and dolphin sightings or water entries aren't guaranteed.

Questions
People also ask
- What does Iruka's Dolphin Warrior tour cost?
The starting price is from $199 per person for the 3-hour speedboat trip. It includes lunch and snorkeling equipment with selected hotel transfers. Children ages 5 to 11 need a quote, so don't apply the adult price to them automatically.
- Can you stay on Iruka's Dolphin Warrior instead of swimming?
Yes, you can watch dolphins from aboard if you're uncomfortable in open water. The tour still requires moderate fitness and a minimum age of 5. That option changes your participation in the swim without changing the boat's entry requirements.
- What happens if Dolphin Warrior doesn't find dolphins?
You can rebook at half price if no dolphins are seen from the boat. The 3-hour outing doesn't guarantee wildlife or ocean conditions. Seeing dolphins from aboard and swimming near them are separate possibilities during the trip.
- Does Iruka's Dolphin Warrior pick up at Waikiki Beach Marriott?
Yes, the Waikiki Beach Marriott pickup is at 6 a.m. or 10 a.m. You meet on the Paoakalani Avenue side. Check the instructions for your selected departure, since the shuttle reaches Waianae before the boat tour begins.
- Where do drivers meet Iruka's Dolphin Warrior at Waianae?
Drivers check in at the brown two-story harbor building 30 minutes before departure. The address is 85-491 Farrington Highway in Waianae. Your boat tour lasts 3 hours, with your road journey taking additional time outside that duration.
