The day
How does the day work?
A ranch bus takes you into Kaaawa Valley before you join the zipline course and return to the main ranch.
- 1
Ranch bus
The ride to base camp passes film locations in Kaaawa Valley. You'll travel with the zipline group after ranch check-in.
- 2
Gear and briefing
Guides fit your harness and helmet at base camp. The orientation covers the equipment before you reach the lines.
- 3
Across the valley
Seven ziplines make up the course. Your guides handle the equipment and braking throughout.
- 4
Between lines
Five short hikes connect the course, which also crosses two suspension bridges. You need to walk between the rides.
- 5
Return to the ranch
After the last line you return to base camp and remove your harness. The bus takes you back to the main ranch.
The course itself takes 2 hours within the 3-hour outing. Your time also covers the ranch bus rides and preparation. The trip ends where you first checked in.
Pickup and meeting point
- Ranch check-in: Your first stop is the ticket office at 49-560 Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe. Arrival is required at least 45 minutes before your reserved tour.
- Getting to Kualoa: Your hotel ride isn't included. The bus to base camp starts inside the ranch after you've reached the check-in area.
- Documents and checks: Bring your voucher and photo ID bearing the reservation name. Staff weigh you and verify the harness limits before participation.
- Clothes: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory and long pants are recommended. Your course involves outdoor walks as well as ziplines.
Before you book
- Wear closed-toe shoes for the walks between lines. You don't control the brakes, but the course still requires moderate fitness.
Fit
Is this tour right for you?
Visitors who want to zipline inside Kualoa should set aside 3 hours for this outing. Your group needs moderate fitness for the connecting walks. Riders must be at least 10 and meet all harness limits. It isn't an activity spent entirely in the air.
For a shorter visit with children, Coral Crater's short course costs from $94.34 per adult. CLIMB Works offers eight lines over North Shore farmland, from $203.65 per person.
Who it's not for
- Children under 10
- Riders outside the weight or harness limits
- Guests unable to manage the connecting hikes
- Pregnant travelers or visitors with spinal injuries
Good to know
Know before you go
You must be at least 10 and weigh 70 to 280 lb. Height must fall between 4 feet 8 inches and 6 feet 9 inches. Children aged 17 and under need an adult on the tour.
The harness allows a waist of 22 to 50 inches and an upper thigh of 18 to 28 inches. Staff check the fit and your weight. You won't receive a refund if you fail the safety limits.
Wear shoes that enclose your toes and heels. Long pants are recommended for the course. Your guides provide the zipline equipment, so your clothing needs to work with the harness and the walks between lines.
A moderate fitness level is needed for the connecting trails. The course isn't recommended during pregnancy or with spinal injuries. Poor cardiovascular health is another reason to skip this activity, which includes hiking as well as the suspended rides.
The zipline operates in rain, so your clothes may get wet or dirty. High winds or lightning can stop the ranch's tours. A rainy forecast alone doesn't remove the obligation to reach check-in for your booked departure.
Your mobile ticket is for a nonrefundable booking of up to five travelers. An adult is required, and the ranch must accept the reservation. Late arrivals and guests outside the safety limits aren't eligible for a refund.

Questions
People also ask
- How much is the Kualoa Ranch zipline tour?
It costs from $193.66 per adult for the 3-hour outing. That covers the ranch bus and zipline equipment. Your trip to Kualoa isn't included, and food and drinks remain separate purchases.
- How early do you check in for the Kualoa zipline?
You need to reach the ticket office 45 minutes before your departure. Bring photo ID that matches the name on your voucher. Staff also check the size limits before you can participate, so arrival needs to allow for those steps.
- Is Kualoa ziplining three hours on the lines?
No, the course takes 2 hours within the full 3-hour outing. The remaining time includes ranch transport and preparation. You also walk between lines, so the stated duration isn't continuous time on a zipline.
- Can a 9-year-old join the Kualoa zipline tour?
No, the minimum age is 10 even if the child meets the height rule. The weight and harness limits also apply. Your child must satisfy all of them, and a refusal at check-in doesn't qualify for a refund.
- Do you control the brakes on the Kualoa ziplines?
Your guides handle braking and the equipment on all seven lines. You don't stop yourself by hand. The course also includes two suspension bridges and five short hikes, so you still need to move between the rides.
